Still, round tube bending is an exceptional task, regardless of material thickness. Controlling distortion requires skilled control and precision. A pipe’s natural inclination is to bend into an egg or oval shape … if not crush outright.

Using dies is a recommended approach. The size of the die depends on a pipe’s outside diameter. Pipes come in a LOT of different diameters.
